PAST THOUGHTS FROM Mar 2007

Salty Ghosts and Susky Yeti by Brian | Mar 16 2007

Spring has arrived in the region and with it comes some lively discussions on the paranormal in the Havre de Grace as well as some newly found historical bigfoot sightings in the area.

A "Ghosts and Legends of Ireland" dinner and discussion with three top paranormal investigators will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21 at the Havre de Grace Ritz Gourmet Cafe.

While everyone is still in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit, the discussion will include ghosts, banshees, legends, fairies and more. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own paranormal photographs and stories to share.

Then, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26 at the Havre de Grace Public Library, Ed Okonowicz, the noted author of the Spirits by the Bay series, will present a program on Eerie Sea Tales and Haunted Lighthouses, including Havre de Grace’s own Concord Point Lighthouse.

Also new this week, local ecologist Bob Chance published a trio of newly found historical accounts of the Susquehanna Yeti, which set the perfect tone for getting back out into the woods this spring.
